n a small sauce pan, melt butter, add sugar, heat and stir until blended well, three minutes or so.
Add cream and continue to heat until thickened a little, add salt and bourbon. Combine well.
It will thicken as it cools. There may be some sugar crystals in the bottom. Try to leave them in the sauce pan as you transfer it to a serving container.
