Plumeria Seeds Anyone
Can anyone visit Hawaii and not fall in love with plumerias. They seem to be everywhere. Growing into trees and always in bloom.
We brought back six “sticks” that were especially treated to not contain vermin and guaranteed not to root. But one of them did root and we were off to the races.
That was thirty years ago. This year we have seen our first seeds from our plumerias. Two pods that were about eight inches long. We left them on the “tree” and after six months or so they opened. See photo below.
The books say they will each grow into a nice plumeria plant but that the color will be completely unpredictable. Well Linda is going to try it and we will report back in a year or two.

Congratulations! Let me know if you run out of planting space or if you need to test your plants in a different climate. The plumeria are beautiful.
