Linda McQueen Scores in African Violet Show

Linda’s Violets Dominate Show!!

Got your attention?  Actually Linda McQueen did extremely well in the first juried African violet show in North Florida in ten years.

The Heart of Jacksonville African Violet Society,  a member of the International African Violet Society,  held a major show and sale in Jacksonville over the past weekend.  The show exceeded all expectations in both attendance and sales.  The three judges were over the top in praising the members for a job well done in both the quality of the show and the quality of the plants.  This show is the result of a full year of growing violets and many years of honing the skills necessary to grow award-winning plants.
The awards won by Linda include Second Best in Show, Best AVSA Collection (Minature/Semiminature), Best Semiminature, Best Miniature, Horticulture Sweepstakes (runner-up) with a total of 19 blue ribbons.

Pictured here is the sales side. Customers line up on the far wall to pay for their selections.
